Ilana is pursuing her Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology with a certificate in health of an aging society at Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health. Prior to Columbia, Ilana worked at JASA, a nonprofit agency serving seniors in NYC. She was responsible for coordinating JASA’s advocacy program for seniors, facilitating trainings and workshops on civic affairs and social action. In addition, she managed the volunteer department. 

Ilana is on the steering committee for Emerging Aging NYC, a networking group for people working in the aging field. She is on the board of Perspectives on Aging, a student group at Columbia which raises awareness on opportunities and challenges related to our aging society.
